Windows tweaks

  • Set Windows short date format to ISO-8601 style (Control Panel, Regional Settings)
  • Adjust power settings - Sleep = Never, USB selective suspend = off, Power button action = Do nothing
  • Arrange COM port enumeration COM Ports

Configuration

  • Create com0com pairs (enable "emulate baud rate" and "enable buffer overrun")
  • Launch opPanel and Rotator Server (create shortcuts on desktop)
  • Restore DXLabs workspace
  • Configure pstRotator instances as TCP Clients (Also set Controller=ERC (ver. 1,2), Refresh Rate=None, Distance Unit=Miles, My Location...=CM97eq, Label..., Start as TCP Client)
  • Configure LP-100-VPC to use appropriate COM port
  • Configure CW Skimmer (Softrock IF, Audio IF = -6000, 48kHz, Line In on Xonar, Left/Right = Q/I, CAT settings)
  • Add  AutoHotKey scripts to Startup forlder
  • Recover TQSL data from backup

Other things to remember

  • Configure BIOS to always start up after a loss of power

Cygwin Setup

Using setup-x86.exe, install:

  • libglib2.0-devel

Run Cygwin Terminal as Administrator and run ssh-host-config. CYGWIN="binmode ntsec".
